Children who are 7 years of age or older have two options. They can take either Shotokan or Bok Fu Quan Fa Jiu Jitsu. They can, also, choose to take both if they desire. The Shotokan class consist of basics, forms, and some self defense. The students work on pure martial arts for a period of 45 minutes, after which are martial art related games to help teach them listening, respect, and boost their self esteem. The Children's Quan Fa Jiu Jitsu class relies more on street self-defense. They are given a set of basics at first. After that, they begin learning self-defenses off multiple types of attacks. They will, also, learn forms that are very fluid and battle effective. After they recieve their Green Belt, they will begin on the adult manual. At this point, they'll also start learning Wushu and San Shou. These classes also normally contain 15 minutes of Martial Art related games at the end, depending on student behavior during classes.
